Sauron (1st Age)

by the time LOTR takes place, Sauron has been playing for the dark side for a Long time. I imagine him here as he was in the first age, Morgoth's second in command, during his tenure as lord of the captured isle of Tol Sirion. He's described as a sorceror and shapeshifter, also as a cruel and persuasive interrogator and all around sadistic bastard. I liked the idea of portraying him as an almost androgynous being, and also a bit of a diva; elegant close fitting armor, with curves that sweep outward into vicious barbed edges, and this beautiful, disarming face like a classical youth looking out from the black thorny edges of his steel collar.
