done for a fantasy RPG guidebook.
Originally I'd done a sketch of the naga completely naked, seen from 3/4 back view with sharp fangs, a lean-muscular form, bald head, and this big elaborate scale pattern across his back, like a naturally occurring version of those yakuza full-back tattoos (i'll upload the sketch if i can find it) but the client wanted the nagas to be more somber and studious, and fully clothed.
I was hesitant about putting clothing on a creature with a snake's lower body, thinking it might result in that silly looking "no pants syndrome" so common among cartoon characters like winnie the pooh or donald duck. Overall I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
